Melanie Steele

Melanie is an experienced solicitor, who not only has front-end commercial law experience coupled with back-end litigation experience, Melanie also has real-world business experience.  That wide mixture of experience means that Melanie’s clients get strong legal advice with a focus on achieving the best commercial outcome in any situation.

Having undertaken her training in the Commercial Litigation and Corporate Advisory groups of a national law firm, Melanie was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2001 and continued at the national law firm until taking a different path as a management consultant.

Melanie then returned to legal practice at a renowned boutique Brisbane firm where she worked for a number of years in a commercial litigation role.

Subsequently, Melanie worked in the not-for-profit sector as business manager of a specialised fundraising consultancy to not-for-profit organisations and then subsequently took on a role as a manager of a small business.

Melanie brings her experience in small business back to her commercial legal practice.  She takes a commercial approach to her matters and unlike some other legal advisers, looks at matters from both a lawyer’s and a small business perspective, to ensure her client’s interests are appropriately protected.
